Slope Intercept Form: When Your Story Meets God's Glory!

Slope Intercept Form

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in HIM, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. -- Romans 15:13

Basic algebra demonstrates to me 3 things:

1. Trust in Jesus increases hope, joy and peace.
2. Being self-focused results in hopelessness, despair and depravity.
3. If one does not grow their faith in Jesus, salvation comes with restlessness.

Hope =  growing faith as time passes + power of holy Spirit to sustain you

When we seek and search for God in all things we grow our faith. Here are some examples …

ASK, SEEK, KNOCK and the door will be opened to you – Matthew 7:7, Psalm 37:4

+m: Ask God to show you how to love Him more tomorrow than you do today -- Ephesians 3:16-19.
+m: Ask God to open the eyes of your heart to see the glorious riches of Christ Jesus -- Ephesians 1:17-21.
+m: Ask God to break your heart for that which breaks His -- Luke 4:18, John 14:12.
+m: Ask God to show you how to endure hardship with JOY -- James 1:2-4.
+m: Ask God to show you the secret of being content whether in plenty or want – Philippians 4:12.
+m: Ask God to show you how to live by faith and not by sight – 2 Corinthians 5:7.
+m: Ask God to show you how to deny yourself and pick up your cross – Matthew 16:24.

+m: Ask God to fill you with His wisdom -- James 1:5-8.

As we travel through time without trust in Jesus, we live apathetic and restless without contentment or thankfulness. Salvation apart from faith brings complaining and cynicism.

Life apart from salvation brings an array of darkness:
-m: lovers of self
-m: lovers of money
-m: boastful, proud
-m: disobedient to their parents
-m: ungrateful
-m: unholy
-m: without love
-m: unforgiving
-m: slanderous
-m: without self-control
-m: brutal
-m: not lovers of the good
-m: betrayers
-m: reckless
-m: conceited
-m: lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God
